he said " I'm not looking for this big fancy trot, just a calm horse".. Something like that! The only thing he's expecting from the horse is that he's not running away from him and that he does the transitions.

I am not sure I understand, you are never attempting to bring this horse thru his back, I find that him being inverted is hurting his back more than asking for more contact and drive and thru the back. I do not understand your method. Pls explain. The horse is very tense ... I do not like it at all either
