You can take the rhythm to this song and sing many of the major rock and roll hits of the 50's. Try it. Sing hits by Chuck Berry, Little Richard or Jerry Lee Lewis and think of the rhythm to this song. It's amazing. If anyone wonders where rock and roll came from they just found the answer.
The best bues/boogie woogie number ever. Two great artists at the top of their form. Ted - solicitations - this is on Paul Oliver's "Story of the Blues" LP/CD - although I assume you already have a copy.
I purchased the aforenoted in the very early sixties after listening to some 78's at a friends house. One day, I went over to listen to Pete Johnson and my friend, while carrying down about 30 78's of Pete Johnson, dropped all of them and very few survived: what a horrible day.
