The Rising Stars are one of St. Thomas' best bands with great players and great arrangers. St. Thomas has one of the oldest and best Carnivals in the Caribbean and is world-class in every respect. It lasts almost a month! It's a magical time for culture, food, dance, music and all things Virgin Islands.

Even though Rising Stars is the biggest, it is not the best youth steel band on St. Thomas. Ulla Muller and Encore are definitely better. Check out my channel, saxyvi.

I just want to comment on this group period!!!!! When I visit my family in St. Croix, I always come during Carnival. I love seeing them play, the floats moving up and down, music upbeat, I can listen to them all day. It seems by the time they get to me in the parade they have no more music to sell. This group is AWESOME!!!!!!!!

I played in this band when I was a kid. Good memories
