can you build an ice rink on snow cause when it gets to 0c in scotland we already have 4 foot of snow now its -20 and the snow is up to our waists!!!

@lbran8787 - it stays around freezing between middle of December to end of February. If we get a warm-up it's very short-lived and the tarp keeps the water so it can refreeze. We've been putting it up for 4 years and probably use it 3 times a week or more all winter long.

We're in the Chicago area - ready to built for the 3rd year in a row. Should have it down to a science now. Now we just need Mother Nature to cooperate again! Forgot shinny - this is waaaay better.

Woops - here shinny means playing hockey on your knees in the living room with mini sticks until something breaks and mom gets mad.
