  • I have a recording of the 1969 Loara Symphonic 1st period band playing this when Loara's current band director was just a sophomore.

  • @namelessrevisited Now THAT I'd like to hear, lol

  • Awesome piece! What's amazing is that it's a "Level Three" piece... but I mean, it's EASILY a level 5 piece, maybe even level 6.

  • It's a level 6 I believe, AA college literature. We did a better job last year on two harder pieces, symphonic metamorposis and chester overture

  • i was a senior here woo!!!

    low brass

  • Very nice woodwind contribution! For a high school group... ID TAKE IT ALL DAY!!! Great job guys. Tempo drags a bit!

  • The xylophone/marimba(It could be played by either parts, I know it's a xylophone solo in the video >.>) solo that starts at around 3:13 just sounded as if it had no soul. There was no feeling to it. I don't mean to be rude, but I just feel as if she didn't want to be there or she just learned the music prior to the concert.

  • Look at the Timpani player...i'm amazed

  • Yeah I agree with you but hey its a high school band not a professional band.

I wish I knew how so I could enlighten you guys with our recordings of Armenian Dances, Toccata Marziale, March from Symphonic Metamorphesis,Chester Overture, Variations on American, and Mannin Veen wich shows the high school band growing into an even more mature group.

(Loara High School Bass Trombonist 03-07)

  • the trunpet part is not well played at parts like in the divided parts where the 2nd and first cornets have the same part but at different times and r suppose to sound like one cornet part not two, but overall good job, 3rd trumpets not loud enough and overblowing 1st &2nd trumpets/cornets and trombones

  • hey guys.. any idea if thr is Two Symphonic Movement (1st & 2nd movement) posted on YouTube?? Wld be glad if I can get to watch..

  • hey.. i think the cymbal part is missing when its nearer to the xylophone solo..
