The chinchilla family is finally reunited! The baby chinchillas haven't been weaned from the mom yet, so the mom is often occupied as the Taro, the dad, stands idly by.

@Kilerchuk Thank you for your answers. The breedback is also a problem with Rabbits. I found out the hard way while critter sitting for some friends!! I appreciate your time to answer my questions,and the extra info. :-)

@chihuahuabulldog Thats just a bark. Chins usually do it when you annoy them. The father cant be in at first to prevent breedback....females go into heat directly after giving birth, and its stressful for them to be nursing and also pregnant. In my experience the fathers are almost always more interested in the kits than the mothers. Ive had a few mothers who have decided their duties stop at nursing.
