ha.. I just saw this ad for the first time. I can't believe it took me more than 2 months to see this commercial since I am a regular SL user for over 2 years.

I don't think it is making fun of Second Life. Instead, I think it is trying to catch the attention of Second Life users. Much like how commercials advertising candy are made to catch the attention of kids. This comes from the experience of a Intro to Visual Communications class, so I'm pretty sure I know what I am talking about.
