This is part 1 of a cold Playthrough of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on the Snes system.

As I've previously stated, this is my favorite Zelda game, and is one of my favorite games of all time. This isn't an expert playthrough. It's been a while since I played through the game, so I may wonder just a little bit before I remember exactly what to do next in the game in parts of the vid. Hence why it's a cold playthrough, because I'm playing off of memory, and didn't make any practice runs first.

I'm sure a lot of you have, more recently, played this game on the Gameboy Advance. While I liked the added Four Swords in the GBA version, and some of the item screen changes, I'd still say I like the Snes version better for the main LTTP Quest. Why? Maybe it's because it's the version I've had longer, or maybe, just maybe, I LIKE A SILENT LINK!!!!!!!!! One of my biggest annoyances (of which there are many) with OOT is the fact that Link is one annoying mother****er in the game. His screams every time he swings his sword are grating on my ears, and just plain ****ing annoying. Unfortunately, Nintendo decided when porting LTTP to the GBA, it wasn't quite annoying enough, so they had to try and screw it up by putting those same lame ass screams in the GBA port. I still Like the GBA port, because LTTP is a great game regardless, but the Snes version will always be the better of the two IMO for the main quest because of the added annoyance to the GBA version. In the Snes version Link only makes a noise when he's hit, and it's a small little wince noise.

  • hey how did u upload a movie that was 30 minutes long? I thought the limit was like 12 minutes?

  • @Driedl85 I'm not sure, but I guess that since I've been here long enough, I can go over the 15 minute mark. I could upload a 5 hour movie if i wanted to so long as it fit under the file size limit.

  • I much prefer a silent link to the gba port. I played through this about a month ago (1st time ive played it) Its a fun game but alittle too easy imo, I like the way that I didnt need a map to get around like in zelda one. But I wish z3 was like z1 in the higher number of enimies onscreen at one time. Z1 gameplay feels slightly better and more arcade like.

  • @TrevHead10 The original Zelda is an awesome game too. Groundbreaking for it's time, and still great to play today as well.

  • very very very beautiful fantasy game!!! I love this game!

  • There are plenty that druel over Ocarina of Time and say it was the best Zelda ever made, but I have to say that this still is my all time favorite.

  • I never got to play this game as a kid (didn't own a snes) but man.. when I finally sat down and played it, it was a real treat.

Hands down the best 2d Zelda, and very arguably the best Zelda game period.

  • @reggiardito It's not a big deal, to be honest.

  • @teh2Dgamer And i said "to be honest" too much , to be honest.

  • @teh2Dgamer Hmm , u got a point there , to be honest.
