http://www.netbooknews.com Windows file structures and folder is how we've done things for decades, even our mobile phone contacts is pretty much just a list. With such advances in technology you think that we would have come up with a more intuitive way to interact with our data. Well, talk to enough start up guys and you will eventually talk to one that actually has some vision. Petit Petit is a UI skin for Android and Windows that presents you with 4 jump off points for interacting with your data, People, Things, Places and Time. So you have 3 dots that can expand into hallos and you can touch your way through to find what your looking for, but the cool thing is that you can drag people and do look for data in relation to place, time or things. Its a more spacial way for finding what you are looking for. Its a good thing that we have a demo because you really need to watch it to understand.
If you want to visit their website here it is, http://www.petitpetit.de/ they are in very private beta right now but keep an eye out, in the next few months its going to going into a public beta.
we have the android versoin in place now:

No matter how "Intuitive" your knew UI might be, it can not change habits which have developed through ages...

@hickoryhicks, the purple cursor is actually a scanned finger print, we used it for the very first video when we captured the screen. just our sense of humor to replace the mouse pointer with a finger print on a touch screen :-)

i would call it the "apple way of thinking", because it limits you to a certain system, one set of applications, i think apple has more or less implemented it in their devices, just with another fancy interface.

you will see more and more evolution of this interface. the circles are just one implementation of how to navigate information. people can customize the whole navigation. ptpt relies more on the association of information independent of the source and the navigation by proximity. so you could also change the ranking in a list by moving another entity to the proximity of the list.

Really looks too messy... I like the linear method of filing. Its effecient. Perhaps the reason we have had this method for decades is because it works
