Iceblink luck, Cherry colored funk, Pandora, Foltzepolitic, Treasure hiding, Pur, Their albums are full of amazing tunes.

Carolyn's fingers is very special tune, but if you've yet to discover the plethora of music made by this band, I truly envy you.

I think the word you were looking for in the fourth sentence of your outraged rant is "tripe". I know that online dictionaries are soulless, but I encourage you to look up the word "trite" and see what it means, then look up the word "tripe". I'm just trying to help you express yourself more effectively. You should read more books, classics, the great works, you will naturally start to expand your vocabulary beyond what they taught you in public school, which was apparently, not a whole lot.

I must say it's the other way around. If you like the Cocteaus you might like the first album of a French-Italian band named Speaking Silence or the Canadian An April March. Or the bands from the Projekt label, such as Love Spirals Downwards and Autumn's Grey Solace. Beautiful sounds out there.
