  • A-freaking-Men (no religious pun intended).

I think people have to convince themselves they have some kind of handle on what happens when we die, but reality is, no one has any idea. No One. At. All.

Anyone trying to convince you they have the answers to what happens when you die, what started existence of any kind, or tries to tell you they have rules and guidelines to follow they are usually after power and money.

It's sad how many are duped into religion at birth.

  • Im trying to get away from my Christian faith. I'm finding it difficult as i live in Northern Ireland and religion is unfortunately a big issue here. But this is helping me :D she is amazing :)

  • @5:30: "And the fac that she was a virgin is MANIACALLY important to us...."

    Speak on it, sister!!

  • I grew up Mormon, it's just as dogmattic as the Catholics teachings...and actually very similar in fundamentals. i'm so glad that i have sucsessfully left this story behind and allowed my children to grow without a magic person who will throw them into a magic hell or heaven. isn't it all about love, anyways?? good luck to all those starting down this releasing road...

  • religion would be funny if people would not believe in it

  • Sorry for the double post. Dang!

  • I was a catholic, never went through confirmation. Mom backed out two weeks before Confirmation. Im glad she did, otherwise I would be bugging the catholic priests to excommunicate me. My experiences with catholicism were not fun, the principal said I wasnt intelligent enough, which isnt true.

How did your confirmation go? I had a happy Catholic childhood and I did confirmation, but I don't really consider it relevant anymore, now that I've looked into a few different religions and seen how similar they all are. What I've learnt from all of them is simple: be a good person. If you need to believe supernatural nonsense to be a good person, go ahead. But if you can be good without religion, even better - that way you're peaceful and logical too :)
