This is part one of a series examining an argument many Christians regard as among the most convincing proofs that Jesus was raised from the dead, namely, that Jesus' disciples willingly died as martyrs for preaching that Jesus had been raised from the dead. No one, it is claimed, would willingly die for a lie. In this series, the argument is examined and three refutations of it are offered.

We don't know that the disciples knew that it was a lie because the words they allegedly spoke were written after they had died.

@ProfMTH First of: He said himself he wouldn't allow continoued messages. That's his policy...
Let's take for example your vid on easter: Your entire argument is based on that Deuteronomy passage. He addresses this pretty well when he says that this only refers to the service to a particular god(s).

Check it out.
1 Corinthians 15:6
Then he (Lord Jesus Christ) appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time
God have mercy on you all and save you from eternal torture.

@at987ta Oh, 1 Corithians says he appeared to 500 witnesses. Well, that settles it then. ::rolling eyes::

@ProfMTH Acts 17 30And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: 31Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
