I know how you feel. I did the same thing after world 4-1-I just couldn't take it, so I went to the other worlds, got my allies and spread the weapons across them..^_^

Too bad you didn't know about the secondary fire on the weapons and the alternate control setup(which I think doesn't have such a jerky aim).
