There is something strange in the logic of those who support a property tax. In one breath they tell us that we can't increase income tax any more because then people won't have money to spend. Then in the next breath they advocate taking money from the same people via property tax as if that's a solution.
The only fair way to increase the tax intake is to increase income tax and capital gains tax.
