Also the promo is wrong..
The Prometeus incident was not "humanity first step in to the stars", Earth had been travelling space for more than a century allready, they were expanding and run into the Mimbari.. also the "ambasadors from 100 worlds use earth as a war playground" , Mimbar-Earth is rumored to be staged by Shadows and the Centauri and the Narn took small parts on it but the rest of races keep away fearfull of Mimbari retaliation.

Gosh, a rather bad promo, but with the benefit of hindsight comes infinite wisdom so goes the saying :)

yeah...but the people who write promos never really know what the story is about...especially if it's sci-fi...so they just kinda make it up and taking a couple of things out of the plot by skim-reading or perhaps skim-viewing, as it were.

Nice, rare promo. Thx for posting this!

Wow this is a bad promo. You would think the film would be about first contact between Earth and the Centauri and not the Earth Minbari War
I can't find this movie any where.

It's part of the DVD box set, Babylon 5, the movies. You can also get an older release double sided DVD with In the beginning, and The gathering.

In the Beginning was a great film, however the trailer makes it look a series of loose chained events. If I directed this trailer I would had got rid of the narrator and tie the signficance of what this trailer was all about by londo's speeches. his monoulges did after all define the film.

I think it was their goal to make it a teaser, and make people say, "Cool a Babylon 5 movie, wait a minute...Huh?!?". However, TNT had no experience with scifi before this.

Since it was a promo created at the TNT network after they received the air version of the feature, it would probably take a lot of strings to get it. TNT and JMS do not seem to be on friendly terms after they cancelled the B5 spinoff.
