This music is a traditional Brazilian song and was a big hit in the 1950s, and was also used in the biopic "The Motorcycle Diaries," a biography of Che Rivera. Delicado was originally composed by Waldir Azevedo.
@wpmw13 not really, the waldir azevedo version is the original. I actually never heard this version until I came to North America. It still seems odd because I relate this song to baiao, a kind of country bumpkin party, cowboy hats etc.
@akiljoe I read somewhere on the web that it went to #1 in 1952, my birth year also, I did this for a game on Facebook...so correct me if I'm wrong(which is unusual).
This reminds me of the wonderful music the Addams Family's butler Lurch would play on his harpsichord (you wouldn't expect it) on mid-1960's episodes of "The Addams Family" TV sitcom. Of course, it was a background player, not Ted Cassidy, but he faked it well. The kind of beautiful music you wouldn't expect to hear on a parody of a horror show.
