Geneva Auto Show 2009: This Porsche 911 Coupe has been converted by RUF into an electric vehicle called the Greenster. It should be on the market by fall 2009 or spring 2010. At 180,000 Euros it's expensive but very fast!
When I thought of Ruf, I would remember the infamous yellowbird. Raw, turbocharged, powerful, noisy, piece of fun machine, that had to be tamed by skillful men. Now I'll remember of a blender, with wheels and batteries... That claims to be clean!
As if electricity is a clean power source, batteries are not toxic and on and on.
If you want to be "green", ride the bus, a bicycle, skate or walk.
@michaelbz I agree. I rather have a car with huge power and little or no noise than one that produces more noise than go.

@maledettoGT
lol who says electricity isnt clean? if youre in norway its nearly all generated by hydropower, and btw li-ion batteries arent toxic....
ruf made this car because he wanted to show its possible already to build a sports car powered by electricity.. thats it
i think its cool and actually most people really like the fact that theres no noise but powerful acceleration
