Its in those days of VOK not KBC folks! we used to sing that on the assembly when Mwalimu peter lot wanted to punish us for failing to do that home work! 5am in the morning that song still rings in my ears! what a song that was ? listening to this song here in Brazil! miss you Kenya! I know one day you will be awakened by God in that great morning we are all awaiting. You served well, you left the trail for us to follow. You did not follow the crowd but you went where there was no road .

I used to hear this song when I was in class one back in the day. KBC used to play it early in the morning. I hated going to school then but education is what has built our beautiful Kenya. Thank you Maroon Commandos for giving us such nice songs. BRAVO!

Aki ya mungu this song played every morning when I was in primary school. Wearing shorts on cold mornings, not having completed homework, not fully woken up, ugh! I love this song.

We will miss your good advise . Rest in peace .The song reminds me of early 80s . GOOD OLD DAYS. Thats when we had sauti ya KBC ,they used to play this music every morning before dawn.You will be missed by many of your fans .
