  • @nighequalizer1 np man. If you happen to have an auto vtec SOHC like mine, what you should do is get a full exhaust. Do your air-care then remove your catalytic converter and get a mechanic to weld on a straight pipe. Get some nice 4-2-1 headers ( DC sports if possible ) and a good intake manifold. For your air intake, get an AEM cold air intake ( the long ones ) then lastly, ask around about shaving down ur engine ports ( where your ports meet ur headers i believe )

  • @streamstruck Wow thanks for that info I appreciate your advice I will take note on this really appreciated alot thanks again

  • @nighequalizer1 also keep in mind that better vtec engine have higher red-line limits so keep at least a 3000-3000-4000 rpm gap between the crossover point and the red-line.

SO if you have a hypo vtec that red-lines at 9200RPM set ur vtec at like 5500-6000 rpm's

  • @nighequalizer1 you can get a stage-3 power surge cord with 02 sensor and a stage-3 performance chip. These are upgrades to increase acceleration and torque without having to upgrade the ECU. For the vtec crossover point I would set it around 5000 RPM. u don't want it to kick in too early or you waste all your mid range power and not too late either. But, with an auto-sohc your not going to pull much more out of your engine but you can eliminate air restrictions for crisper acceleration.

  • @streamstruck Question when you say chip an wire, what does wiring included? and if you chip it what would you set your vtec at?

  • if you adjust an automatic vtec correctly you can get it to act like a manual. the only difference, its still a bit slower, the shifting is perfect every time and you don't reach peak torque across RPM's in each gear as quickly unless u chip and wire it. My auto vtec si climbs pretty quickly too and I still have stock headers and intake manifold.

  • what year and what size engine are you running at the that automatic transmission?

  • If its not auto, then why the long ass gears???

  • manual..

  • u have a chipped ecu? if so then i'll believe it automatic... if not its manual
