Hexstatic put on an Eigenharp audio visual performance at The Hospital Club London and excitingly show examples of what the Eigenharp is capable of creating http://www.eigenlabs.com
Tomita had the utmost important instruments for the time. This eigenharp is just too easy to play some songs. True expression is definitely the talent of the person playing not the instrument at hand!
Got a nice yamaha 9000 keyboard, that gives me a good deal of expression and possibilities. But again why havent i heard lets say bach, variations perhaps on vivaldi - perhaps a violin duo - with electronic accompniament - digital musicians can do anything they set their mind to, so please lets hear it doing something along those lines.
This is you tube - where you can put allmost anything - these machines have been portrayed playing only one kind of music - how about something a little different to show its full capabilities - something which dosent pander to the dance/rave music set, a little more mature?
Something that will actualy make me want to buy one.
i ask because the middle bit looked almost like the pico..
not that it matters much.. you have created an excellent instrument with unparalleled potential for us synth folks to explore more expressive playing..
and both models are great.. it's just a matter of budgeting i suppose.. =)
i WILL be adding an eigenharp! one way or another!

Pico. Yes. Vangelis would turn in his grave.

.Most of what i am hearing is the skill of the player, not the instrument. for electronica how about something like Tomito "the bermuda triangle"
The instruments are held long enough on the notes so you can hear their beauty and strength.

the only limits are your vst's though!
i play everything from ambient to rock and enjoy designing sounds.. the benefit of these are the unique way of getting those messages in..
remember our keyboards before touch sensitivity or aftertouch? when that came along it gave us the expressivity that we didn't have before!
i'm hoping that that's what this will do.. engender more expression in playing..
honestly.. we're digital musicians.. synthesists.. the sounds are limited only by our imaginations!
