@ewmeiss agreed. fischer had tremendous respect for spassky, and said he was unquestionably the best chess player he had ever played against.

Boris has a sad childhood and I believe he can turn to the best without sad childhood.

Spassky has great Personality listen to some of his interviews, wonderful man.

In fact Fischer had never beated Spassky, but they had two draws (both in 1966) which already invalidates your statement. Also it is debatable if Fischer was "crushed" in the games he lost, unless every loss is a "crush" (Fischer lost 5 games, but only two of them were shorter than 50 moves - being "crushed" to me means being defeated without much fight)

Spassky: probably the most underrated chess genius alive. It's so unfair that chess literature mostly regards him as the one who lost to Fischer when there's so much more to him and to his games. Yes, he's still alive and playing, if only chess journalism would bother to give him more attention, which he deserves.
