The streets of the world's most notoroius slum, Rio de Janeiro's "City of God," are a place where combat photographers fear to tread, police rarely go and residents are lucky if they live to the age of 20. Fernando Meirelles's astonishing, gut-wrenching and wholly ambitious film is # 965 on the list of 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die.
The music for my video tribute is Toni Childs' 'House of Hope."

  • Another video tht I watched 3 times total, saw new things each time, truly fascinating, again loved the music too, as much of an editor as you are you are one cool elector of music, loth to use the word DJ, as I think you have more talent than a DJ , (look out Dave, I have asked for it lol)

  • @beachfrontal LOL! Well, thank you very much. I'm very pleased you like my style. I do kind of think of these films as being a DJ; I put a lot of thought into the musical choices. Sometimes they work, sometimes not, but I always try to make them flow and meld. Thanks again VERY MUCH!

  • killer vid! ******! clarence

  • @IMTheMagicRat Thanks!

  • Low cust... Here in Brazil have a TVchannel the name Rede Globo making films better than it. And i knew the Rio de Janeiro, are beautiful the beaches like Copacabana, Ipanema... So, if some day have you oportunity to visit the beaches here in Brazil prefer Bahia too. THE BEST WOMEN HAD YOU SAW IN YOUR LIFE... A Big Hug! S.Y.
