I am looking forward to reading his works...putting a request in to the St Louis Public Library ..thank you for the advice

you said that Lovecraft didn´t write a lot of fiction? I may have understood wrong, because I´m not a native speaker.
And nice talking about Ligotti, I´m also a fan here!

I read The Conspiracy Against The Human Race recently. It was strong stuff, but quite good. I'm not much of a fiction/horror fan but I may give his other works a look. Cheers!

My wife & I love being married, so it can happen. We do look at other married couples we know and can only conclude that we're doing it wrong but we sure as hell aren't going to do it "right"! I stumbled on Ligotti's Grimscribe and was hooked, like I was hooked on HPL 40 odd years ago.

OH MY GOD. SAVE THAT BOX. SAVE THE WRAPPING. SAVE EVERYTHING.
I've only read Teatro Grottesco, and already Ligotti is a favourite of mine. The concentration of madness and the dark and often hilarious absurdity of the situations in that book, opened my eyes so much. He's the depressed loner's wet dream.
An incredibly interesting person, as well. As far as I'm concerned, Ligotti's done all the work he needs, to go down in history. How exciting it must be for him to approach the painless abyss!

I am also a fan of Thomas Ligotti. Sad that he is so ill.
Glad that you are mending.
X!
I'm a student of English and Philosophy at a Danish university, and I too consider Thomas Ligotti THE top weird writer of our age. Man's a damned genius, and I'll be writing my master's thesis on him come next year.
