Two person from showing Tai Chi Cane Form and applications. The one weapon you can legally carry. Great solo form also. Originally produced for television. First of 7 lessons. Michael Gilman is aided by Sifu Stephanie Morrell.
Thank you for sharing this Tai Chi Partner Cane Form -Lesson's video! It remind me about my junior school's play(not the music one like American high school's). We didn't used canes, we used the sword(not the real one). It's a play about Chinese history one thousand(or two )years ago, so the battle already had swords. This form also remind me about Chinee opera. Thank you very much!
Great topic! I have spent the better part of the last year refining my "Sibat"
five ft.Filipino "Walking Stick" and with the help of My Arnis instructor have scaled it down to the 36" staight / or knob end cane. Your stickwork looks like a somewhat softer version of Filipino "Topato". Similar moves, heavier stick.
Your timing is perfect. I will try to get up to your October Cane Workshop.
Thank you very much this was exactly what I was looking for!
