The passenger compartment held its shape well in the offset crash test. The brake pedal moved rearwards by 124 and upwards 20 mm. The steering wheel hub moved 56 mm rearward, 1 mm upward and 13 mm sideways. The front ("A") pillar moved 42 mm rearwards. All doors remained closed during the crash. After the crash the driver door could be opened with high manual effort.
The airbag cushioned the head of the driver and contact was stable. Steering column components were a potential source of injury for the driver's knees. A production change introduced after the crash test has improved knee protection is this area but some concerns remain. The passenger's head was cushioned by the airbag.

@midomansour1 It is not a cheap car!! Kia does not make cheap cars and it will be one of the most successful brands in all over the world. Most of people who say that Kias are cheap or bad cars have never tried one of those cars or have not had one!!

@midomansour1 yeah thats understandable - i used to drive a subaru impreza 2007, all stock, and it was a great car to drive... nothing fancy but it could tear shit up for sure. now i just bought a kia forte koup sx - fantastic car so far for its money.... but my girl drives a bmw 330i and i have to agree... that baby literally flies... but for the price of 18K-20K for a koup sx, the kia makes a pretty incentive filled offer thats hard to pass... just saying ;)

@kamilo653 u know kia makes the best korean cars and i had one,but try to get out from a kia and get n a car MADE IN GERMANY and u will know why u shouldnt ride a kia!!!
