@supercheertay of course they can do it without the spring mats, but with springs its easier.. My team tumbles at a gymnastics gym, and its 10x easier than our mats back at the school.. You need more power without the springs.

@courtneyprepster101 i HIGHLY doubt it would, & im sure the boys could do this on a regular mat if they wanted too.

I'm not a cheerleader but all of my friends do competition cheer. Watching them has definitely taught me to appreciate this sport! They work so hard!
