Soviets enterred Afghanistan after 3 cries for help from the Afghanistan govenrment.
Prior to Soviet troop present, the CIA and Pakistani intelligence was sponsoring the Mujahadeen in Afghanistan to fight the Communist government.

I thought the U.S. governement was a powerfull atheist goverenment. On the surface the U.S. governement might act as if its Christian but behind the scenes it might be atheist. Btw, Israel did 9/11 to cause a catastrophical military backlash against Muslim countries. In this they succeeded.

"Aggressive military policy"? Afghanistan was the only country that USSR bombed during Cold War. America bombed Korea, Vietnam, Panama, Iraq (the heaviest aerial bombing in history), the list goes on. The USSR had a 1000-mile border with Afghanistan and the Afghanis lived like 5 centuries before. If the Soviet Union had wanted to conquer the country it would have swallowed it whole in no time. They intervened because a hateful ideology was spread that could infect 40 million of its own citizens.
