Awaiting the Nurse

Today An Avonex Nurse came out to my house to show me how to give myself the injection. It's a once-a-week injection and I'm starting out at a 1/4 dose. Avonex is an interferon taken to prevent Multiple Sclerosis relapses.

Are you still on 1/4 dose?

Yesterday should have been your 4th dose are you still taking it?

Actually, yesterday was the my 2nd time taking the full dose. I noticed last night I felt kind of tender, like you do when you are sick, but other than that didn't feel too bad. I don't think side effects are causing me too many problems.

great stuff, 1st shot sounds good ur looking 2 ur next shot, it gets better and easier as u find ur techneeek, a cold ice pack to numb the area is just the best 4me.

I've had friends who had to give themselves injections for Diabetes. I've watched them do it. Hope this all works out for the best for you.

I'm starting on 1/4 dose. I never experienced any flu like symptoms, at least not yet. After several hours went by I noticed I was feeling kind of anxious and was moody and irritable. Not sure if that was due to the Avonex or not.
