Everything in my house seems to have what I call Radio Active... yet, I don't even know what something that was radio active would behave... Yes proof indeed - that cotton does move when becoming wet or drying.
The polymer bonds are modified, sometimes broken, and water molecules get between the chains to lubricate them so that they can more freely slide over each other.
