hey i got a serious question if i work with molten lead are there any precautions i need to take to prevent lead poisoning?
-
@JoaumlEphgb because oil floats on water because its lighter??? I am not sure tough.

the song is really gay

@AaronX85 Oil isn't typically hot enough. Basically you need sufficient heat to instantaneously vaporize the water into a protective layer of steam. Melted lead heated to an excess of 800 F would be hot enough.

@JoaumlEphgb No I haven't tried, but I get the feeling it won't work. Maybe I should try (with something other than my hand).

Why doesn't this work with hot oil?

@AaronX85 Did you tried? Well, there may be many reasons about why it doesn't work with hot oil, but I'd say that it's because it wasn't hot enought for the leidenfrost effect.
