Title:For Whom the Bell Tolls
Author: Enerst Hemmingway
Setting
For Whom the Bell Tolls is set in the year 1937 over about a one week span of time. The actual location, for the most part, is the dusty wilderness of Spain during the spanish civil war. The wilderness of spain is always conveyed as being somewhat harsh or hostile . The forest floor is even described as being "sharp and jagged because of the many pine needles". Not just the physical surroundings are harsh but also the location is as the characters are at a base camp behind enemy lines. 5 sentences

Theme
In For Whom the Bell Tolls a great deal of the characters lose thier psycological or physical innocence during the time of war. With that the main theme is a loss of innocence during battle or war.
For example Maria losses her innocence during her town raid when she is raped by the facist.
Joaquin loses his innocence when his parents and is forced to grow up unaturaly fast.
Robert also lost his innocence. Robert innitially went to Spain loyal to the republican cause feeling confident he was on the right side. But as the war goes on Robert becomes cynical and his former idealism quickly diminishes.
The biggest loss of innocence was Anselmo's , when he is forced to kill. Anselmo is told "that killing is something he must do". 9 sentences

OH! I thought you found this on the internet or something. Like just for peoples reference if they were reading the book. Well then i'm sorry and withdraw all negative comments directed towards you. Haha. Took it totally the wrong way. Just saying Facists reminded me of every dumb girl in my history class, i'm even in AP and they still do it its horrible. Alright well chuckles directed toward your friends shotty spelling then.

Work ethic? This is comedy my good man. This is my friend's shoddily written and horribly spelled essay that, when read as it is written, is hilarious. I'm the most literate motherfucker you'll ever want to meet.

I know because i thought it was hilarious! Even if its spelled wrong it should just click in your head "Hey i know what this word is supposed to mean, so i will say it correctly." Why wouldn't you just do that? You also pronounced collapsed wrong. I was too stupefied to even mention it because i thought you may have a reading impediment or something. Like damn things may be spelled wrong but that doesn't mean you have to pronounce them wrong. Great work ethic.
