@mturquie Don't know what you ended up doing but I wanted to add that the SD-1 is fairly easy to mod to get anything from a more transperant to a smooth tone to a grittier bluesier tone to a ts9 to a fullclone kinda tone.

The start of the video is 99.8 percent exactly how I have mine dialed in! I just have a c-hair more drive! :)

@KhammettJpageAsmith `For metal its best used as a boost on a dirty amp or a mv vintage amp like a JCM 800 (Zakk Wylde did this before his overdrive was made). It doesn't really get very heavy on a clean amp but takes a slightly dirty amp over the edge.

i have a question im thinkin of buying 1 but in this vid it doesnt really show how heavy that thing can go??

would u recomend this pedal 2 a hard rock player?
Do u use a 12 v ac power supply for this pedal?
I cant really figured out on mine its so old ^:^

@Selbolle69 The older ones use an ACA 12 volt because most power supplies were unregulated but this was internally stepped down to 9 volts so using a daisy chain on 9 volts cuts the step down out of it and it works fine or a 12v dc setting on a power supply (like a BBE) would work too

Your tone sounds pretty good. I didnt like the green beret tone on the WGS site but really liked the reaper. What sounds better, the reaper by itself or the reaper with the green beret?

@pedecamp Never heard the Reaper by itself in person although the G12H-30 which it is based in is probably the most versatile Celestion. I choose both because that is what (the celestion version) is in Matchless DC-30 cabs.
