The Boeing/Sikorsky RAH-66 Comanche was an advanced U.S. Army military helicopter intended for the armed reconnaissance role, incorporating stealth technologies. It was also intended to designate targets for the AH-64 Apache. The RAH-66 program was canceled in 2004 before it was fielded.

I saw these helicopters flying in Japan.. the Japanese Defense Force flew them when I was at Mt. Fuji training

@thebigbosspr1 true but the best weapon still is the soldier. They can accomplish almost anything vs a weapon which is specific to one task

i have loved this helicopter for a long time and just dred to think that they put all that work in to it just to scrap it i can not see that can be possible i have the dreem to build the an rc one as i think it's a fantastic bit of kit but it will be a very hard job but i will make work

No doubt that the technology used in the Comanche went into designing the stealth blackhawk used in the OBL raid after it was canceled and I wouldn't doubt that we've been working on another more efficient

Here's another question...They built Ten of them...were they all Just scrapped? Maybe they are in service escorting the Stealth Blackhawks & we just don't know it?
