But really, I think the thirty seconds we get in the start of every period, is just a way for us to just relax to start our day, as what the announcer said before, at the beginning of the school year, last year.

Not really.

This was awesome too bad it wasn't done at willowbrook I would love to hear what the kids there would say. Or even the administrators because kids get in trouble if caught praying, or reading any Godly books. I would honestly love it if someone did osmething like this at willowbrook maybe there wouldn't be so much violence if there was at least an ounce of Jesus there.

No, it's a time to do anything related to an event that was very tragic. Like if someone was Athiest and someone died that's really close to him or her, then he or she would reflect on it, and Religious people would pray.
So it works out fine.
uumm yeah i went to GEHS and we never did the starting of a moment of silence...when did this start cuz i graduated in 2006 and we never did it???

I think it started this school year 2007-2008. I went to Willowbrook... I dunno. ;)

This is not encouraged! You really shouldn't force god on people, not everyone believes in god!!!

Totally agreed! This was not a "force" of anything, simply an interview, with no "agenda". There was no "encouraged answer" or any right or wrong one for that matter. It was simply an opinion piece for thought and discussion. I'm curious why you thought it was "forcing god on people". I would love to hear what you think in detail. (Honestly!)

Alright, but I do not want GEHS turning into a god-school like they're starting on with moment of silence! I have no problem with religious people, but asking questions like this can make people uncomfortable!

Good point. I don't go to the school, but it sure sounds like this "moment of silence" is just an awkward way to say "prayer time". Which I have no problem with, but then, it should not be mandatory (or law) nor should it be so wishy-washy. If it's prayer time, call it so, and deal with it. If you're not comfortable with it, then don't do it at all... It is dumb, as-is.
