Read first bellow comments.So,I want to say romanians are not decendents of romans,are descendents of tracians=dacians later called vlahs.in ancient times we called also pelasgi.Romans soldiers were not allowed to marry with native women.They occupied our country for riches,for our gold.They stolen all they could steall:gold,silver,salt.They took thousands men and women as slave to Rome.Even ordinary roman have slaves in ancient time.Wake up!we are not latins.

In middle age period we call us vlahi-vlahs,even western countries called us vlahs untill 1848 revolution.No one of our ancestors called themselves romanian.This is false identity.In ancient time we call tracs but helenics call us getians from get=people of land.Old helenic historian said:Dacians are the bravest and fairest tracians.Romans occupied only 14% from our country.Free tribes atac often romans legions from Dacia and romans payd tribute.All these facts are recorded in history.

Total wrong!Romanian is tracian language not latin.Romanians are not descendents of romans=italians.Romanians are tracs=dacians=vlahs.Dacians were one of tracian tribes.Tracia in Burebista time-a great king was very big country but in time lost teritory,now Romania is small.Many migrator tribes occupied parts of ancient Tracia.Term romania-romanian is very new only 150 years old.Is a new concept-FALS,to wash our brain,to make us to forget our identity.We are vlahs=dacians=tracs.

@iapetoc6 i meant a full language, not individual words. Linguists say it was something between latin and greek but it was gradually lost as the Roman Empire expanded. Most of those latinized thracians have lost even the latin language to slavic, except for romanians and "vlachs"
