  • do u know how the keys compare to korg karma ? (korg karma's keys absolutely suck). i plan to get M50

  • I haven't played the Karma, so I can't compare, but the M50 I have, which is the one in the video, is the base model and the keys are very light. Definitely not going to be its strong point, but I guess that's the trade off with the synth being so cheap. I got mine for less than a grand, new.

  • Cool. Do you work for Korg? Is this a Korg demo?

  • No, I don't work for Korg. I just got the M50, was really impressed, and made this quick demo just to show how it sounds. When I was trying to find info on-line about it, I couldn't find anything that really showed how the dual arpeggiators stacked up against the M3's Karma function, so when I bought the M50 I thought I'd make a simple demo to show that. I do video work professionally, so I was able to make the Korg logo intro etc.

  • I have the korg m50, and i give it a 5 star rating. Best Keyboard ive ever used.

  • What does the combi feature do?

  • @zzzxtreme The keys are light, you get lots of spring noise and the action feels rubbish. But the rest of the keyboard is brilliant and overall it's great value for money. The primary selling point for me though was the unbelievable lightness.

  • @michael72401 Either that or a snipet of Gary Numan

  • From 1,10 to 1,25 the music reminds me of John Foxx - 1980's electro rock

  • can you add new sounds to the m50 like the korg trinton sound from n364

  • this one or Juno-G?

  • Always loved the combi abilities on the Korg x5d and its nice to see this heritage continue. Good vid!

  • dahm i have shit load of drum sounds in wav. i think i still wanna get this anyway

  • I don't think so... you can generate your own sounds from scratch, but you can't load external sounds, like a sampled wav file or something.
