Buffalo

Buffalo (also known as bison and the bull buffalo, Tatanka) are probably the most symbolic of all the animals in North America. At one time, vast herds of buffalo roamed the plains of North America. Today, buffalo can still be found in parks and refuges. Several Indian Reservations also manage small herds of bison. Photographs I have taken with music by Buddy Red Bow, "My Friend the Buffalo". Hello friend, As I was sitting the other day eating a bowel of stew, (buffalo), I was pondering wether to approve this comment or not. I have decided to approve this comment, only to show an excellent example of true ignorance. There is no excuse for the wastefull slaughter of the buffalo, but I do not agree with the extent of this comment. That is all.

First there is no sush thing as a mama bull. Just as there is no such thing as a male cow. Cows are female, and bulls are male. I agree, the buffalo does kick ass!!!

The American Bison, Bison bison (B bison), both the plains and the wood bison. The plains bison comes from the Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Chordata Class: Mammalia Order: Artiodactyla Family: Bovidae Genus: Bison Species: Bison Bison. I agree, there is a difference between bison and buffalo. The American bison is commonly referred to as buffalo. Both bison and buffalo belong to the Bovidae family, the term "buffalo" properly applies only to the Asian water buffalo and African buffalo.

one of my friend owns a herd of 300 bison , i buy one buffalo every year for meat , the taste is 10 times better than beef.

I TOTALLY AGREE with this statement because the GREAT NATIVE people used the buffalo as a way of survival which I believe was the GREAT I AM'S/YHWH purpose. This goes the same with the whales. When hunted by Natives the only killed what was needed for the tribe,however when the Whiteman killed them they did it to STARVE Chief Joseph so they could capture him and place him in captivity just because he was NATIVE which was TOTALLY WRONG...TOTALLY!!! YHWH BLESS THE BUFFALO!! PEACE!!

Killong for for sport is something our Ancestors never did, and necessity is entirely a different aspect.
