Can you find this redundant organ a home? This is the last concert on this wonderful 4 manual organ before possible organicide in January 2009.

Here we have the wonderful Elgar Pomp and Circumstance from which the tune to Land of Hope and Glory was purloined, played by Mark Cyphus

Is this a land of Hope and Glory? Or is this organ to be scrapped? YOU MAKE THE DIFFERENCE! WE MAKE THE DIFFERENCE - but THIS ORGAN NEEDS YOU TOO! Please can you try? Don't just sit there . . . DO SOMETHING! PLEASE!

Links to further details about this organ otherwise to be scrapped are on the "more info" of the "Plea for Organs" video http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=MW1oOTiFoOk

  • MANY THANKS! With January approaching I'm hoping that all will make maximun efforts to find a cathedral, church, school, college or concert hall to take this superb instrument.

It's in good condition so would not require expensive refurbishment to rebuild in another place.

We have identified a redundant church in Sussex which could be used to store it for a little while which would assist on the logistics.

  • Are there any videos of this organ in it's new home????

  • @preciousjey nothings quite like an organ!

  • This organ was saved. The Christian Science church building at Nutford Place was taken over by the Sylvia Young Theatre School, to expand their training facilities. They had no use for the organ.. Accordingly, they allowed the church to donate the organ, at no cost, to St Michael's Church, Abertillery, where it was installed over the period 2009/2010.

  • Aw man! I'll build a home for it if I win the Euromillions tomorrow.

  • songs like this sounds great, especially with a big building because of the vibrant sound.

  • i hate that many organs here in los angeles especiacially at the catholic church were not taken care of and went to piano. some churches are too poor to fix organs. i can play this song on piano but i never tried on organ
