in this case, the families should sue the shit out of the airline. It was 100 percent the pilot's fault. He shouldn't have been a pilot.
-
mayor al-capone giuliani, who deserted building 7 command centre because he knew it was getting blowen up, i,e, inside job, period,

this is really sad :(

@eduardalet - Was it even absolutely necessary to follow in the other planes wake? Seems foolish to keep struggling against something if it becomes very difficult, when you could just move away.

Pilots are the cause of 90 % of all accidents, as a Flight Engineer I've seen pilots make many mistakes , because of arrogance. The pilot should have waited 5" minutes on the runway for the wake turbulence to pass, the copilot over reacted and caused the vertical stab to break off, which caused loss of control. Complacency is another big problem.

Wake Turbulence is a very serious thing. It has been discovered that 757's cause the most heavy turbulence, because of its unique configuration concerning airflow, etc. When I fly, I always am aware of larger aircraft departing ahead. More times than not, I am on a 737, and 757 is roaring down the runway just ahead; scary.

If the pilots who are professionals knew about turbulence caused by the JAL airplane and also advised by the tower control, why the hell did they take off?!!! Sometimes pilots are just stubborn and proud people.

the 747 wasn't the cause. the copilot put so much strain onthe tail fin that it broke off.
