@wishbone1138 They (Better Than New is the company) say its derived from elemental Ca (calcium) metal. Seems to originally have been used in the racing industry on engines + gear boxes, and in the laser cutting tool industry. Now its being applied to firearms. Oak Ridge National Laboratory did the testing on the coating.

Interesting, I'll have to read up on the RF85 coating. However, I will say I've heard similar claims from other specialized coating manufacturers and it sometimes is more marketing than truth. Not that I'm against the idea at all, who wouldn't want a firearm you never had to oil? Hopefully I can get my hands on one and see for myself. Keep cranking out the videos, always enjoy seeing a new review.
