I loved a man more than life itself and still do. I left him when I was 32 and am now 55. I remember the night I saw him for the first time in 7 years. A big leather dyke saw us together that night and said she'd never seen two people so much in love, not knowing the situation. I left this man I love so very, very much because I learned I was not the best for him. This song says much about how I have come to terms with it. I especially appreciate hearing a man sing it. It helps.
