  • komatsu called that ripper the giant single shank ripper.I got to run one once. they are equivalant to a cat d8k the cat was rated 300 hp while the d155a 320hp.

  • this machine as equiped weighs in at about 80.000 lbs

  • this particular engine displaces 1175 cubic inches

  • actually komatsu engines were based on cummins designs.this is why they sound so much like cummins engines.

  • I have to tell you, that is not a Cummins engine. Komatsu made thier own engines. If my info is correct, that is a komatsu S6D155 in line 6 Cylinder rated @ 410HP. Komatsu called it an Giant Variable Ripper
