A Nelena/Jemi Story- Episode 12 (Explanations)

*In Selena's room*

Nick- *Looks up* Sel?
Selena- Yah Nick?
Nick- Do you miss him? *Looks away*
Selena- *Sighs* I guess so. But the thing is that it's really hard to miss someone you barely know.
Nick- What do you mean?
Selena- I never really knew my dad... All I knew was that he was selfless, and giving. I never knew
what he was like when he travelled.
Nick- *Looks down* Oh. I see.
Selena- I know you and Miley just broke up, but do you miss her?
Nick- Yeah I do. But I do have wonderful friends. What more can I want? *Smiles*
Selena- *Smiles*
Nick- Can I tell you something? But you can't tell anyone...
Selena- Ofcourse!
Nick- You know that song I sang on the first day in choir?
Selena- Yeah... It was beautiful. What about it?
Nick- *Looks away* I wrote it for Miley.
Selena- Aww Nick. You are such a romantic!
Nick- *Laughs*
Selena- You still like her?
Nick- Naww. I think I've moved on too. *Smiles* (He looks at the clock on Selena's bedside table.)
Oh damn. Time really does fly when you're having fun. It's late I gotta go.
Selena- Okay let's go.

They head downstairs and Nick and Selena say their goodbyes. Nick leaves and Selena runs up to her room. She
lies in bed and thinks about her dad. Slowly she drifts into a dreamless sleep.

*The next day, with Miley*

She walks towards Emily's locker.

Miley- Hey Em!
Emily- Oh hey Miles.
Miley- Lis-
(she gets interupted. Cody comes up behind her and gives her a quick peck on the lips.)
Miley- Hey...
Emily- Um Miley?
Miley- Um Cody I'll catch up to you later kay?
Cody- Sure. Later

Cody leaves, and Emily and Miley are on their way to science.

Emily- What the hell was that all about?
Miley- Cody and I are going out...*Looks away*
Emily- But why??? What happened to Nick?
Miley- Em please just let me explain.
Emily- Fine, but this better be good.
Miley- I really liked Nick, and I know he really liked me too.
Emily- Then why are you cheating on him?
Miley- Em! Let me finish. The thing was that with me and Nick. I just couldn't feel any sparks. I really did
like him, but I could tell he and I weren't meant to be. I knew it because whenever I would talk to him he was
always somewhere else. Not physically but, I would look him in the eyes and see that they never actually met mine.
Not directly at all.
Emily- *Confused* What do you mean?
Miley- I felt like he wasn't actually looking at me, the way he looks at Selena...
Emily- YOu think-
(gets interupted)
Miley- Yes I do. I know that me and him aren't going to end up married and I have to make things right. We had
way more fun when we were friends. Best friends... But when I hung out with Cody he made me feel special. He looks
deeply into my eyes, and I could tell that I can trust him with anything. He was so sweet, and when he asked me
out I couldn't say no. So please Em, just give Cody a chance.
Emily- *Sighs* Okay but just because you're my best friend. Come let's go we're going to be late.

*With Selena and Demi*

The girls grab their books from their locker.
Selena- Come Dems were gonna be late.
Demi- But Sel! You still didn't tell me what happened!
Selena- Demi! I'll tell you in math let's go.

They run to their math class, but the bell beats them. The teacher looks up from his desk.
Mr. Burlin- Nice of you to join us girls.
Demi & Selena- Sorry.
Mr. BUrlin- Take your seats.
The girls walk over to some empty desks near the back of the classroom.
Mr. Burlin- Today we are starting calculas!
The class groans.
Mr.Burlin- Just turn your textbooks to page 23. And do questions 1-7.
The class gets started on their work.

Demi rips out a peice of paper from her binder.
Demi- (writes) Tell.
Selena- *sighs*
