The Parliaments bid to re-introduce price controls on essential goods continues to evoke strong sentiments against that move. And the latest opponent to that policy is the Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya, Professor Njuguna Ndungu. While the Governor concurs that there is need for stability in the prices of essential goods, he contends that price controls will only provide a short-lived solution to a much bigger problem.
