@Fisherkingnigel Or what I do is use an addon for my web browser (firefox) called FoxyProxy. Just find a fast proxy server and use that. I can watch anything on hulu. I didn't try and other website.

@seppomuppit I have a WDTV (not live) and it works fine with my router. This works because you install playon.tv's media server. Then once installed you turn on your VPN, turn on media server and then head over to your WDTV. Next go to video and you'll see a server called Playon, Netflix, Hulu and many more channels that'll will be working fine. As long as your home PC is connected to the same router as the WDTV your GOLDEN!

This guy doesn't really mention you need one of about 150 specific routers for this to work with wdtv

@endless031 True but if you want a service that works for a solid year with virtually no problems this is the way to go. If you use a free VPN from say hotspotshield you then run the risk of netflix and xbox live banning your accounts and eventually it won't work. I don' t know about you but I hate configuring stuff over and over...do the job the right way and you'll have a system that works 24/7.

Do you think you are able to do this for example with an xbox?

@wozowozoo Yes you can but you have to use a VPN router. Generally they have to be preconfigured to work but if you're tech savy you'll have to add some firmware to enable it as a VPN router. Personally I just but one all ready to go and haven't looked back since. I've got Netflix, Hulu Plus HD, ESPN, Pandora Radio and all demo downloads working as if from USA. One tip I use is for online games you can use your regular IP but to download you'll need the VPN. Got it?

@Fisherkingnigel Wouldn't that cause major lag?

@wozowozoo well it's a pretty good system but you're never going to get your original network speed. The reason is because VPN's have to go through secured SSL coding so it's just makes things slower for sure. But we've been watching HULU and Netfilix without any problems for almost a year now...Overall it works and there's not much more you can do to speed it up at this time.
