I am no expert, so I will say that for enjoyment purposes (which is what music is all about) I give a thumbs up :)
-
his outfit doesn't match the scenery
-
If I might insert my 2 cents, he's playing in the wind, in scenery that would rate an 18 on a scale of 1 to 10 any day. I think the idea here is to let go of your carefully schooled notions and let your spirit fly. MIGHT the slightly off-chromatic notes just be part of this wild and gorgeous whole?

I need to second cldavis...this is great fiddling, better than I could do, but intonation is one of the issues that really sets apart a superb fiddler....Intonation is key, and has nothing to do with "style"...
-
@wvg4800 pretty doggone good, I'd say.
-
nice job my cousin play's this as a madley with liberty two-step
-
Nobody will be perfect. But good intonation makes for some damn good sounding fiddlin'!
-
No, no, and no. Does Mark O'Connor have intonation as an issue? Playing out of tune makes a person sound ---well, out of tune - no other way to say it. Phrasing well in folk style is what makes it sound old time. All good muscians shoudl strive to play with good intonation period - end of discussion.
no, it is not too rushed, this song is supposed to be fast and the sound is great. i love this song, you did a great job!
