I used Synfig here for all animated bits that don't involve captured video: The twitchy line/spinning letter loop, the picture zooms and fades, and the scrolling/spinning texts. However, apart of the twitchy lines I didn't really *draw* anything in Synfig, it's all just bitmaps drawn in The GIMP =) CinelerraCV is awesome - I used it for editing and compositing everything together, and the stuff that involved captured video in any way. And the scratchy filters and weird colours, of course. =)

Hello Swampies, I have read lots on SpectateSwamp. I still cannot grasp what it is actually meant to do. Can I get a .exe file, or do I need vb version 0.010 or something?

OK, the comments didn't work a few months ago, hope they do now. =) Anyway, there's apparently an actual .exe file out there somewhere if you want to torture yourself more - all it apparently needs is the VB5 runtime .dll from Microsoft.

Seriously, point me in the direction, I really need to see this, I am fascinated :)

Just Google for "Spectate Swamp" - the guy's home page should be the first hit (may, with sufficient thrust, have all you need), and the topshareware page should be where to get an .exe.

How many times did CinelerraCV crash when using it? I've found it to be almost unusable.

Once, I think. =) However, I was working with dead-easy file formats (AVI/MOV in MJPEG, PNG images, .wav audio). It tends to be crashier with something a bit more exotic (behaves a lot more erratically with MPEG4 video for example).
