On September 9,2008, as part of its 20th Anniversary celebration, the Rhythm & Blues Foundation proudly honored Ms, Sugar Pie DeSanto for her distinctive work as an individual artist. Check out her nails. I used to get my nails done at the same place in San Francisco she did. The shop is gone now, I have moved to the burbs. She would crack everybody up. She no longer has her voice, but she is still an entertainer.

Whew! She is a mess......that IS a compliment! Gotta love her! How could one not after seeing this performance. I got to up my stage game up after seeing this! I had never seen footage of her in the 60s until today, and I am glad I stumbled upon this clip.
