@rwells87 Prof Messer is a hero, I recently watched a whole load of his A+ material, pretty much all the essentials exam content, for my own knowledge gaps. No intention to take the A+ exam for similar reasons to you. This week I have been studying hard from my Mike Meyers N+ book, his slightly repetitive and overly detailed style that bugged me in the A+ book is treating my vast knowledge gaps well now that I'm on N+. Very satisfied, will probably go through CBT or ProfMess after

I will be sitting for the test in a few weeks. So I'm prepping hardcore. I would really hit each objective, each protocol and get the whole pic on a technology before moving on. It can get complicates FAST if you aren't paying attention. I do have the A+ and it was annoying and the questions were crazy.

I have completed the CBT Nuggets, and I really liked Micheal shannon. I read and completed Mike Meyers McGraw Network+, and completed Toddel Lamel Sybex Network+. I am a former CCNA from a few years ago, and just wanted the Network+ bc it doesnt expire, and I used some of my old CCNA books for like switching, VLANS, and some routing concepts. The Sybex book is very Good.
I'm giving the CBT nuggets my best shot at the moment I share you're sentiments completely. The guy is clearly very knowledgeable, but as someone with no workplace experience of networking, I'm stalling frequently. I also happen to have the Mike Meyers book which I will try to get into now.
