  • Yes. This is a game to play with a control stick.

  • This is impressive stuff, much better than one would have expected from the home ports. Sega was really on a roll in the 80's.

  • oh man, this is the first arcade game i ever beat, i've been trying to find the name for years! thanks!

  • looks like a 3d game. and that was in the 80s.

  • used to love this as a kid!

  • dat bass

  • Uh the home port's quality is extremely lazy, it's just like something for the NES...

  • This game looks almost as stunning as it did when I played it as a kid in the arcades. Timeless classic. They even had a semi-hydraulic chair to make it feel even more real...but After Burner's full hydraulic chair and motorized simulation was an unforgettable experience. The 80's arcades rocked.

  • I love this game one of my fav arcade games when I was a kid, was always pissed that there was no decent home version (Master System Version was actually better than the Megadrive) but I now have it running in M.A.M.E on my Wii, was actually thinking of doing a video about it.

  • @JayArgonaut ok,i remember in this times i had no relations to this,to compair arcade to home version.so the us gold order paper always was like a worshiped toys r us order cataloge.but still the c64 version is awesome, for real ! good convertion of the early 3d effeckts.so us gold, just became lazy.

  • @KingCrimson82 The home computer versions for the Atari ST, C64 etc wasn't programmed by Sega. They were produced, by US Gold - a company known for a poor track record when it came to converting arcade games.
